UPDATED 19th September: Event tickets now available to purchase!

WELCOME TO THE ANZCI IMMERSION 2027!

We’re so pleased you’ll be joining us in Rotorua.

Thank you for being a fundamental part of our community.

We are committed to bringing this work into the world with integrity, curiosity and heart, and without your heart none of this is possible.

The ANZCI Immersion is more than a professional development event, it’s an opportunity to gather as a community, deepen our learning, and strengthen the relationships that support this work, especially here in Aotearoa New Zealand.

This page is your central information hub for everything you need to know before the immersion. We’ll continue updating it as plans are confirmed, so we recommend bookmarking this page and checking back from time to time.

If you can’t find the information you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@anzci.nz.

We look forward to welcoming you in 2027.

Book in the dates and times

Book the dates in your calendar:  16th - 21th April 2027.
Start and end time TBA

Together, we create this beautiful container, and the opening and closing ceremonies are a meaningful part of the shared experience.

To honour the depth of the journey, we warmly encourage you to attend the full immersion from beginning to end, so you can be held by the natural rhythm and flow of the whole process.

If you’re able, we also recommend arriving early or staying on afterwards to experience the healing waters and all that Rotorua has to offer - from its natural beauty and geothermal wonders to its vibrant cultural experiences and local attractions.

We start With Pōhiri

We will all gather outside Arawa Park Hotel in Rotorua for our Pōhiri, traditional welcoming ceremony, which will begin at 12.30 am on April 16th. The people from this region will welcome us.

- All participants are invited to gift a koha (Recommended donation $20) to be collected before the event starts, while we gather outside to be welcomed in. This will be gifted to the students and people of the community.

- It is customary for Wahine ( Females) to wear skirts over the knee and men to wear long trousers and shirts.

- Punctuality is a sign of respect. Arriving late can disrupt the ceremony. Use the waiting time to reflect and mentally prepare.

- As a guest, wait quietly at the entrance until the karanga (ceremonial call) begins. Follow the lead of your group’s representatives and maintain a respectful demeanour.

-Keep Silent During the Karanga: This is a sacred moment of spiritual connection. Avoid talking, taking photos, or using devices.

-Observing the karanga firsthand is a key step in experiencing what a pōwhiri is, as it symbolises the bridge between the physical and spiritual realms. We do not need to understand the spoken words; we can just experience them.
