Di Koch

Horowhenua, New Zealand

Di Koch's practice is to support people in noticing and relating with the Knowing held within our multiple intelligences as we navigate transitions and mark life stages.

This practice seeks to create the conditions for slowing down, deep listening, and tracking what is being communicated through our bodies, hearts, intuition, nervous systems and lineages of belonging. This generates perspective, insight, capacity for discernment, allowing grounded next steps to emerge.

Di was born in South Africa and now lives and works in Aotearoa New Zealand, her partner’s Motherland. Over the years, Di has studied and trained in Education, the Arts, Theatre for Social Activism, Sand play, Dialogue, Thinking Partnerships, Family and Systemic Constellations, and Rites of Passage work. Her practice is rooted in and weaves together - systemic work, somatic awareness, and relational presence. Di see this as the work of deep remembering and reconnecting with our pathways towards wisdom.

Di completed a two-year Systemic Constellations facilitator Training through Family Constellations Africa in 2008 in South Africa and engaged in in-person peer Intervision until 2015, with Intervision since being online. Di furthered her training through additional workshops with Francesca Mason Boring, Stephan Hausner and Svenja Wachter, as well as attending two ISCA International Intensives in Germany in 2010 & 2012. In Aotearoa New Zealand, Di participated in the Advanced Facilitator Retreat through ANZCI with Margarete Koenning in November 2025.

Di has been part of the regular crew in Rites of Passage Foundation programmes in Golden Bay, South Island since 2016: https://ropf.org.nz/

In 2024, Di completed powerful transformative postgraduate study in Kaitiakitanga: a post grad diploma in bicultural professional supervision, through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. This involved immersive study in applying a mātauranga Māori–led knowledge system to relationships of care and support. Di valued the privilege of the opportunity and the challenge of embodying a tuakana–teina approach as a way of being in this mahi — reciprocal, experience based, mana affirming, honouring the dignity and strength of each person.

These lineages, learnings, and Di’s lived experience shape the way she accompanies others.
